In
response to requests from young people across the state, the Iowa Arts Council
is gathering information on available internship opportunities in Iowa arts and
culture organizations.
The collected information will be posted on the Iowa Arts Council's Web site. The information will also be disseminated to colleges and universities statewide this spring.
If you are part of an organization seeking an intern, please submit the following information:
·Organization name
·Name of internship contact person
·Beginning/ending dates of internship
·Hours per day/week/month
·Paid/unpaid
·Description of position, including responsibilities and intern projects
·Any other information the intern should know.

Save the Date for Cultural Advocacy Day
On January 23 & 24, groups will gather at the State Historical Building, 600 E. Locust, Des Moines for workshops and the traditional march to the Capitol and an opportunity to meet with their legislators. Participants an opportunity to attend workshops and “problem solving meetings” to discuss topics such as smart building codes, health care for cultural workers, arts education and more.
