IAC Set to Launch New eGRANT System
The Iowa Arts Council announces one of the biggest changes to the organization’s
grant application process in its history with the implementation of a new eGRANT
system.
Beginning with the April 1 deadline for Major and Mini grants, applications must be submitted online using the new eGRANT system. The system will be available after March 2 at the Iowa Arts Council Web site, www.iowaartscouncil.org. In the meantime, organizations applying for either of these types of funding may use the current downloadable applications available on the IAC Web site as a guide for preparing the application. That information must then be submitted online by the April 1 deadline.
“The information we require in these applications will not change, but how you fill out and submit the applications will,” said Mary Sundet Jones, IAC Administrator. “The new eGRANT system allows us a more efficient and effective means of providing funding for Iowa’s cultural community.”
A nice feature of eGRANT is the ability to save application information online, so that it does not all have to be completed at once. Applicants can return to finish an application when it is most convenient. However, support materials and signed service contracts are still required to be mailed to the Iowa Arts Council for processing and must be received by 4:30 p.m. the day of the deadline.
The Iowa Arts Council is offering free, online informational training classes on the new eGRANT system during the month of February.

Wednesday, February 8, 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Thursday, February 9, 9:00-10:00 a.m.
Saturday, February 11, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
