Organizations will be able to apply to any NEA Grants for Arts Projects category using Grants.gov, the federal government's online application system. While it will still be possible to submit a paper application, the NEA strongly encourages you to begin taking advantage of the benefits of applying electronically. For those who have not yet done so, your organization must register with Grants.gov before you can submit an electronic application. The four-step Grants.gov registration process cannot be completed in a single day; it is recommended that you allow at least two weeks. Do not wait until the day of an application deadline to register. You'll find step-by-step registration instructions on both the NEA Web site and at www.grants.gov/GetStarted .

Even if you don't apply through Grants.gov this time, it is recommended that you register now so you will be prepared when the use of Grants.gov is required.
