Iowa Roots Airs Again in October
The
Iowa Arts Council’s popular mini-documentary series,
Iowa Roots, returns to the airwaves in
October. The 5-minute spots will be aired Fridays at 7:35 a.m.
during National Public Radio’s Morning Edition, during Iowa Public
Radio’s Midday program, and at other times on Iowa Public
Radio.
The series exposes listeners to the voices of people who carry on a variety of cultural traditions—focusing on the arts, skills and knowledge that make us who we are in our communities.
This latest set of Iowa Roots programs is a production of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs and Phil Nusbaum. All interviews can be audiostreamed on the Iowa Arts Council’s Iowa Roots Web site where more information about the artists will also be available.
