The 2005 Camera Corps: Photos from the Fair
Photography
students from across the state showcased their work at the Iowa State Fair in
August through the 4-H Camera Corps, a program that documents
events and activities throughout Iowa.
Photographer Tim Florer, who serves as project director of the Camera Corps, said the kids had a great time at at the fair.
“One
participant has declared photography as her major because of the project!”
Florer said.
“One afternoon I told the kids to go up to the Administration Building and talk to and photograph the older folks sitting on the porches. I think that was a cool experience for them—it allowed for an exchange between these two very different generations. I think they might look at things in life a little differently because of this project.”

Camera
Corps was sponsored by Nationwide Agribusiness and 4-H
with support from the Iowa Arts Council, the Iowa State
Fair and Timothy Florer.
