IAC Grant Writing Workshops
The Iowa Arts Council conducts grant writing workshops throughout Iowa for artists, educators, communities and organizations who are seeking funding support for arts-related activities that benefit Iowans.
Hear directly from grant program managers for the Iowa Arts Council and the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs on what review panels expect to see in grant proposals and how you can write powerful grant proposals. Hear about new granting programs and changes to program guidelines.
Wednesday, October 26: Marshalltown

Cultural Express Proposal Deadline: November 1
Iowa libraries and museums are invited to submit proposals to bring Cultural
Express: Traditional Arts on Tour to their community. Up to $8,000 may be requested
to help offset the cost of this traveling program. More

Take the Food Survey Today! Available Online Until November 30
Do you have recipes for Iowa foods that evoke a “taste of place”
that you’d be willing to share? If so, food folklorist Riki Saltzman wants
to hear from you! To help gather these stories, she has set up an on-line survey
where people can provide recipes, anecdotes and other information.

Traditional Arts Apprenticeships: December 1
Grants worth $2,500 for a Master Artist to teach a qualified Apprentice.
Projects must take place between July 1 and June 30 (apprenticeship may start
and end anytime within these dates as long as it runs for six consecutive months).

Iowa Scholarship for the Arts: December 10
This scholarship is for Iowa high school seniors planning to attend an
Iowa college or university and pursue a discipline in the arts.
