Iowa’s
Lt. Governor Sally Pederson went out on the road November 1 and 2 on behalf of
BuyIowaArt.com.
The Lt. Governor visited with artists across the state who are featured on the Web site and toured their studios, viewed their work or heard them play.
Her schedule over the course of the two days consisted of visits to see:
Jim Shrosbree, a sculptor from Fairfield;
Pat Hazell, blues musician from Washington;
Kevin Burt, blues/jazz musician from Iowa City;
Calle Sur, Latin American band from Cedar Falls;
Shadric
Smith, folk-inspired musician from Otho;
Pam Dennis, visual artist/sculptor from Ames; and
Peggy Johnston, book/printmaking artist from Des Moines.
