Slides consists of 40 movable, painted and sandblasted
glass panels mounted in three sliding metal display systems.
Commissioned in 2004 by the Art in State Buildings Program
for the State of Iowa Laboratory Facilities Building. The building is located
in Ankeny, outside of Des Moines.

Project Description
Slides is an artwork that tells the story of four laboratories housed in the Iowa Laboratory Facility and brings them together in different relationships.
It reflects the interaction and overlapping knowledge base that exists between science and technology disciplines, unifying them further through images of the Iowa landscape and environment.
