A fifth-generation Iowa musician, Bill Melton was born in Maquoketa, not far from the Mississippi. As a small child, Bill would listen to his grandfather play fiddle, but he didn’t start playing himself until he was a teenager.
Committed to writing and singing songs about small town Iowa, Bill's career has spanned the genres of folk, rock, country, blues, and bluegrass.
has performed in Iowa and throughout the western states as well as at the Iowa
Governor's mansion, as well as at the Iowa State Fair, various county fairs and
festivals, and numerous clubs and private functions.
