American Masterpieces
American Masterpieces: Three Centuries of Artistic Genius is a major initiative to acquaint Americans with the best of their cultural and artistic legacy (NEA). Link to NEA site - http://www.nea.gov/national/masterpieces/index.html
In 2007, with a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Iowa Arts Council and Iowa Public Television produced two television shows that aired on IPTV’s, Assignment Iowa.
The programs showcased visual artists and arts traditions that are part of the cultural fabric of the state by profiling the work of seven living Iowa master artists, while featuring the venues that help bring their work to Iowans.
