Applicants are highly encouraged to summarize the following in their application:
- Explain your philosophy or mission statement for the project and how it relates to the mission of the applicant and/or project partners.
- List the names and qualifications of individuals, organizations and groups involved in the planning process.
- Explain the process you will use to plan the project, select artists and designs. Include a timeline for the project. If artists have been selected at the time of application, summarize the selection process and provide the names and qualifications of individuals selecting and approving the artists.
- If a specific work or design concept has been selected at the time of application, summarize the selection process and provide the names and qualifications of individuals selecting and approving the designs. Examples of the work and/or design concept should be included in the application support materials (e.g., slides or photographs of the approved work or design concept).
- Explain how artists will be compensated for their services and expenses (includes artist selection phase, design proposal and development phase, and construction phase).
- Summarize your plans for educational activities that will occur during the project.
- Explain how the work will be maintained and preserved if it is a permanent project or work.
