Information for Current Grantees

When Should Grant Recipients Expect to Receive Their Checks?

If you receive a grant, you can expect to receive the check on or about the beginning date of the grant activity (as specified in your application, and included in the Grant Notification Letter).

Exceptions:

Changes to Funded Projects

Circumstances and conditions change, and funded projects cannot always be completed as proposed (e.g., if the grant request was partially funded). Contact the IAC in advance in writing (or by e-mail) if you need to make a substantial change to the project (e.g., changing dates, using different artists, differenct project director).

Requests for Extensions

Requests for extensions must be made in advance and in writing (or by e-mail).

Funding Moratorium and Return of Grant Funds.

Grant recipients will be placed on an agency-wide funding moratorium if the Final Report and/or unspent IAC funds have not been returned within 30 days of the ending date of the project. The IAC may also initiate legal proceedings for the return of grant funds if the Final Report and/or unspent IAC funds have not been returned within 30 days of the ending date of the project.
