Iowa Arts Council Strategic Planning

 

The Iowa Arts Council’s strategic planning process involves 3 tiers.

This plan is part of the larger Department of Cultural Affairs Strategic Plan.

Tier I:The Department of Cultural Affairs’ department-wide goals, together with constituent-developed priorities created during the quadrennial Iowa Cultural Caucuses.

Tier II: A 3-5 year document with goals and strategies developed by IAC board, staff, and constituents.  The IAC’s 2008-11 Strategic Plan was endorsed by the Iowa Arts Council board on November 30, 2007. 

Tier III: An annual staff retreat in May produces a staff work plan for the coming year, built from the goals and strategies identified in Tiers I and II. For a copy of the current year’s staff work plan, contact Mary Sundet Jones at mary.sundetjones@iowa.gov.
